Backstage

Sometimes, when the curtains are closed and we’re waiting to go on stage, we don’t want our audience to know that the lead actors have fallen out, the set is held together with gaffer tape, the orchestra conductor has called in sick and the director has turned up drunk again, do we?!

We want the audience to engage with our show and think that we’ve got our shit together! And so, we walk on stage, smile and perform with the nervous anxiety of a parent with a boisterous toddler in a china shop, hoping that we can get out without breaking anything.

How many more shows are you going to perform on a wing and a prayer before you call in Andrew Lloyd Webber (other impresarios are available)?

Message me if you want to share your backstage challenges with staff and I’ll meet you by the Stage Door!
